Upcoming Chat on Twitter

I wanted to let you guys know about an online chat in which I'll be participating with a bunch of huge YA authors (figuratively speaking of course). The incredible Georgia McBride (author of the upcoming urban fantasy series PRAEFATIO in 2011) founded YALITCHAT, and the biggest one yet is coming up on April 14th and 15th.

Look at this lineup!!!

April 14th: Melissa Marr, A.S. King, Becca Fitzpatrick, Lisa McMann, Ellen Hopkins, Margaret Stohl, Carrie Ryan, Alyson Noel

April 15th: Holly Black, Michelle Zink, Scott Westerfeld, Kami Garcia, Cassandra Clare, Bree Despain, James Dashner, Sarah Rees Brennan

I'm honored to be included, and excited to make a fool of myself in such company!

Details:

Both evening chats take place from 9:00 to 11:00 pm EST.

It all takes place on twitter under the hashtag of #yalitchat.

The official website for yalitchat: http://yalitchat.wordpress.com/

Here's the link for it on Ning: http://yalitchat.ning.com/

To follow along you simply search for #yalitchat on twitter then keep up! We'll be answering your questions so be sure and pipe in.

If you're not following me on twitter yet, please do! CLICK HERE to do so.

May everyone have a most joyous and non-sucky weekend. Talk to ya next week.

Twitter? Really? I don't think I'm quite ready to cross that bridge. Haha.

I hope YOU have a good week too! It's Spring Break up here at Weber State next week, so we're all very excited. I plan to use the time to read. Maybe I'll check out some of those authors you're chatting with.

As always, you rock! :D

To any unfamiliar with Twitter, set up an account, then look at the side bar. There’s a search box. Type in #yalitchat and hit return. All you then have to do is refresh the page every time there’s an update. Twitter makes it plain and easy. If you want to ask a question, make sure you add #yalitchat in the tweet so it shows up in the chat.

For example:
Hey, authors. Do family members tell you what should happen in a book? Do you listen? #yalitchat

or specific to an author:
@jamesdashner I find Maze Hunter hauntingly familiar like a nightmare. Did you work at Novell in 1996? #yalitchat

Have fun!

What's something anyone on here does when they're bored. Because I am beyond that point right now.

I've played the game but made myself stop because it was so addicting! But maybe I will go back to it. Thanks for the response!

I am writing a book! Yes, a book! So far it is 6,000 words, but I am planning on making it longer. It is about Shapeshifters and Shape Shifter hunters! I also finished the first 13th reality and it was pretty awesome!

Well, once again, you're amazing and seriously how did you come up with a book like that? It's so cool how it all like fit together and everything so perfectly.
It definitely won't be the last book i've read by you, im going to try to read the 13th series by the time your tour comes to my town.
