Stuff

Here are some odds and ends for you on this fine day:

1. Thanks to everyone who commented on my last post or two to enter a drawing for a signed book. And the winner is.... Karen Pellett. Congrats! Give me your email address and I'll send you a copy.

2. I know there was a lot of buzz about the Maze Runner movie on Twitter and the Internet last week, and many of you have asked me about it. I just want to comment that my official response is "no comment." Sorry! I'm just not allowed to talk about it yet because nothing is final or official.

3. Here's some good news for you, though: We just sold rights in Italy! I was wondering when that lovely country would join the party. (Hey, did you know that it's shaped like a boot? It is! Really! Look at it on a map!) Anyway, we're very excited, and we've almost accomplished our goal of taking over the continent of Europe in its entirety.

4. There are some recent interviews with me out there that I thought some of you would like to see. They are...

5. This one is part of a "Best of 2010" series, where the questions were very random: CLICK HERE. (You can win my book here by commenting!)

6. This is my first interview ever in Spanish: CLICK HERE. And no, I don't speak the language. They were nice enough to translate.

7. There's also an interview with me up on Amazon: CLICK HERE.

8. We are also happy to announce that Barnes and Noble named The Scorch Trials as one of the 10 Best Teen Books of 2010! Check it out: CLICK HERE.

9. The Falcons are now 10-2. Yeah.

10. We finally bought a snowblower, just to ensure that it won't snow again for the rest of the winter. So far, so true.

We bought a leaf blower hoping it would ensure we'd have no leaves this year, but no such luck. I'd say 'Go Falcons,' but your team took Tony Gonzalez from my team. Okay, they didn't take him--he ran there as fast as he could, but still. :(

Also, I'm giving away a signed copy of The Maze Runner over on our blog, Sisters in Scribe. It's an amazing book!

Haha, I'm first commenter. That hasn't happened in a while. ^_^

1: Congrats to Karen!

2: I would have asked what you thought about the Maze movie (if it was being made as rumored) being directed by the same person who did the Twilight saga movies (I don't know about other people, but I personally think that's AWESOME!) though I bet you'd probably say "no comment" to that as well. So I won't bother asking. ^_~

3: Italy! Home of my favorite type of food! yay! ^_^

4: I'll see all your interviews in due time. They must be really cool!

8: I would also call "Scorch" one of the top ten books I've read this year. Top notch job, Dude. ^_~

10: It has gotten so cold recently! Even in Florida! I almost half expect it to start snowing down here. 0,o (I live really south.)

Write again soon, Dashner Dude!

Aw, dang it. ~,~ That's what I get for writing long comments. Oh well. I'll get you next time! ^_~

Congrats on everything! I want to know that I follow your blog faithfully and I'm one of your biggest supporters...However, I do need to have you sign about a jillion books. I'm behind on that. Maybe I need to get them to you somehow! If you're going to be famous, I've got to do it now before you get a rubber stamp!

PS Can I call on you and your snowblower if it snows again.

PSS That totally rocks about Barnes & Noble. You deserve it.

Don't worry, you still sound suave and smart in Spanish. (Did you like that alliteration? It was entirely unintentional.)

I wish I could buy a snowblower and keep it from snowing here... The "feels like" temperature this morning was 4 degrees.

I finish finals on Thursday and go home on Saturday, where with any luck The Scorch Trials will be waiting for me...

Congrats on all the good news! And don't worry, it'll definitely snow again... but probably not until March. Maybe April. ;)

hehe, I knew about the Maze Runner movie way back in...*checks date* April 23rd 2010. I have a newspaper article on my wall that talks about it. I researched it out thoroughly, and even checked out 20th Fox about it.

I really wanted to try and be in it ^.~ You never know though! Along with being an author it would be cool to be an actor as well ^.~

If it doesn't snow before christmas, I'm blaming you.
Also, I read your interview...you have good taste, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a fan. Congrats on everything!

Thanks for buying the snow blower! I was going to wash my car but now I don't have to. BUT how do you ensure there is snow in the mountains for skiing and boarding?

Unknown said...

Is it true that the director of Twilight is directing The Maze Runner? If so--WHY Dashner! Whyyyyyyy! She'll butcher your book, taking the shadow love story between Tom and Teresa and blowing it up to astronomical proportions! She's a monster!!!

But if it's just a rumor then I'm good.

Congrats on the movie deal!

That global warming. It wastes perfectly good snowblower purchases.

Shut up J, don't believe rumors.
Dashner, that better not be true or I'll hunt down the person who decided that...

Shall my career of acting finally take place as a part of The Maze Runner? I pray so! I love the series and am pysched about The Death Cure. BTW, even though you're my fav author, it was a disappoint to find you as a Falcon fan. A dirtybird can't fly with a broken wing. Huge Saints fan here! Who dat!! But anyway, good luck in a movie!

Hello!

I am currently reading your book "The Door in the Woods", I love it by the way. I was wondering, do you sometimes refer to yourself as 'Jam Dash'? My copy is signed 'Jam Dash' instead of something like ' J. Dashner', or 'J. Dash', or even 'James D.'.

You're a great author, Mr. Dashner!

Your fan,
Alyssa

Noooo! My hopes lasted just 30 minutes!
I'm Italian and i'm a translator! I was just about to ask if you wanted to have your book translated in italian! I've read the Maze Runner last month when I was in Arizona and I loved it... as I went to a library close to my house in Milano (IT) to find an italian version of the Schorch Trials I found out that nobody has ever translated the books! Now I see the rights has been sold to Fanucci Editore and "the Maze Runner" is coming out in july! Well now i'll ask if I can work for them and have your book translated by next month! Keep up with the good work
I'm a huge fan!
