More pre-order spottings

Well, they literally must have just appeared or something because they seem disjointed and incomplete, without images, but I just noticed the book is now on Amazon and Barnes and Noble's websites for preordering.

In fact, I was blown away by the deal you can get on Amazon - it's 33% off if you preorder. Not bad at all. It's 20% off at B&N. The audio is also available for preorder. (No, this is not a shameless urge for you to preorder, this is an "I'm excited it's available for preorder" exclamation.)

BOOK 2 WRITING UPDATE: Well, I didn't have much writing time over the weekend, so I'm only at 13,591 words. But I'm still well on my pace, and plan to write tonight after the urchins go to bed. The next scene is mega cool, in a dark and stinky place made completely of metal with a weird dude named Sally. Yeah, that's right. Sally.

Cool beans! No, to your earlier question. I haven't got my ARC yet. Oh and that is funny what you said about your urchins, that's what I call my kids. I tell my husband, "I've got to go feed the urchins again." Really they are hobbits because they have breakfast, second breakfast, 'levensies, lunch... you get the picture.

Unfortunetly I didn't make it over to Deseret Book today to purchase "The journal of curious letters" as I hoped. I really wanted to start reading it tonight for FHE. Yes, I'm sad but a BIG miracle happened in our family today and so I am feeling very grateful and excited.

Maybe next week...

I know this is going to sound like a very dumb question...{I will pre-excuse myself by letting you know I just began writing my first novel and just completed 2 children's books but I've never been publised so I'm not an Author...yet}
but...What in the heck is an ARC?

Ok, you know what...stop snickering! Just give me the answer and move on. ;)

Sally. Excellent.

Ajoy, it's okay to be confused. I've spent half my life confused, the other half clueless.

An ARC is the Advance Reader Copy. Those were just printed and will be shipped soon to people who won a little "contest" I did a couple of months ago.

Sorry to tell you, but JOURNAL OF CURIOUS LETTERS is not released yet, and doesn't come out until March. But thanks for wanting to buy it!

I'm checking my mail box daily!

I can't imagine how ego boosting having a book you've written be listed on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Wowness!

That's cool James. You need to get the image on those sites. Just follow the steps in the links.

Sally for a dude, huh? Does that mean we can call you Lily?

James Dashner said...

No, you may not call me Lily. You can call me Matilda if you must. But definitely not Lily.

Heather, I told my publisher about the Amazon thing. I'll let them take care of that stuff.
