Book 3 of my series THE 13TH REALITY (THE BLADE OF SHATTERED HOPE) is officially out, and we're going to celebrate tonight with lots of food and good times. There will also be giveaways, including 30 t-shirts. I hope all of you can make it. That's right. All of you. There'll be dancing grannies and six-legged bears!
The fun begins at 6:30, Barnes and Noble, West Jordan UT. The one at the Jordan Landing shopping center.
Also, if you live in Utah and want to see me make a fool of myself, tune in to the 5:00 Channel 2 news and you'll see a piece on me. They invaded my home and even made me play the drums in my office. Okay, that might've been my idea, something I'm sure I'll regret the rest of my life. Hopefully it didn't make the cut!
I'll also be coming to Dallas, Phoenix, Denver and St. Louis soon. For details on those events, CLICK HERE.
Finally, you have to read this article that appeared in the New York Times. One of our most faithful Dashner Duders (Thanks Dave!) was interviewed about his family's blog, and he mentioned THE MAZE RUNNER with high praise. I'm proud to say I was his very first interview. CLICK HERE to read it.
Oh, one more thing. Or two more things. MAZE has received another couple of bits of good news: It's been nominated for the American Library Association's Best Fiction for Young Adults and the Kentucky Bluegrass Awards. Thank you ALA and state of Kentucky!!!
See you all tonight. You heard me. All of you.

Wickedosity--my copy came in the mail the other day, but I doubt I'll be able to make it up there tonight. Y'all have fun!
That is all so cool! Good luck with everything. I'm so happy for you.
Awesome cover! We'll be there--me and all 5 kidlings.
I'll officially be there Dashner. Can't wait to eat all that food too. But I'm recording the channel and playing it on my blog. You probably will make a fool of yourself, but who could care, that's why everyone calls you James Dashner.

Wow, sounds fun! I'll have to see if I can make it.
Yay, see you there...I already have the book, I made them get it from the back lol...I can't wait.....congratulations.......tiki, tiki
Thanks for the mention Dash! Wish I could attend tonight, but I don't think I can get out of work early enough to catch a flight ;o) You lucky locals get a 13th t-shirt! 13th 3 hasn't hit the shelves yet on the east coast, but when it does, I'll be the first to pick it up! Congrats on the nominations and keep on keepin on.

I knew there would be a down-side to living in Boise. Oh well, I guess you'll have to party without me. Dancing grannies and all.
Congrats on the nomination. Wow. Very cool.
Oh my goodness james! I would do anything to see you tonight! If only I lived in Utah...*sad face* Everything seems like it's working out for you. But hey, seriously consider my email. If you haven't read it, make sure you do! My friend Taylor asked you to read it too. It's very important that you reply! VERY!
Guess what Dashner! I'm going to be going to your launch party, AND I'm going to make you sign something that you've probably never signed before. It's gonna be awesome!
My mom's coming to, and I met you before at last years Teen Writers Conference. Why aren't you coming this year?
So awesome James, keep up the good work!
James, I saw you on Channel 2! I actually waited for it to happen. I had so much fun watching it! We writers look like total nerds on tv.
Super, Super psyched to see you there in an hour and ten minutes! Great job with the movie! It's gonna be awesome!
He-he I just saw you on the news....
Well I'm sad. The kidlings changed our plans tonight and we can't come. But have a blast!
That was supersupersupersupersupersuper fun! It was my first every signing I've ever been to, and it was a lot of fun. I'm so glad I could meet you! I loved your reaction when you saw the trick-or-treating promotion book! You're so cool! I'm a big fan!
Sorry I couldn't make it tonight, James. I heard it was crazy busy but I'll just have to catch you later. Take care!
Dashner, I had so much fun at the launch party and the shirt fits perfectly, kind of weird huh? But tell your wife I said thanks for the food, it was deliciousioso. I saw you on channel 5 and you didn't look too bad. I only have 100 pages left of 13th Reality 3, would have had more but we got home way to late.
I also mentioned your book on my blog and gave it a high praise, if any Duder wants to check it out, www.jacksonporter.blogspot.com.

James! You didn't leave any signed copies at B&N!!! I'm in town until Monday and my daughter is dying to get your new book, autographed of course. Any chance you might go sign some stock somewhere or I can meet up with you to have you sign one? B&N said a few other people came in looking for signed copies so they would love for you to come in and sign more copies. What can you say? Everyone loves you, or at least your books. :)
It was SO fun to meet you again the other night. I went home and read half of it in like two hours and then finished it the next morning. My sister, who hates reading (crazy person she is) has found that she loves reading your books. You saved her from an unknown doom! 13th 3 Was AWESOME! So excited to see number 4!
I just picked my copy of THE BLADE OF SHATTERED HOPE up from Barnes and Noble in San Antonio. I'm on page 91 and I'm lovin' it so far. When can you tell us the title of Book 4?
I just finished reading your first book, and I am completely hooked. I finished it in two days. Last time I did that, it was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! You've written some really amazing books. Your book is also the first book that I have actually read the introduction. It was really funny. However, I don't really get quantum physics. I have been asking around, and no one else can explain them to me. Or they say they can and then run away when I ask them to, the little liars! If you explain it more in the 2nd or 3rd book, please disregard this question, but if not, could you please explain it a bit more?
I am practically spazing out waiting for the second book to come from my library.
Brin
So I've got a question. How did you get published, how do you go about doing that? Do you send stories in to magazines, can you send a book to a publisher, do you have to have an agent? thanks!
On Goodreads.com, THE BLADE OF SHATTERED HOPE has an average rating of 5 out of 5!
You should become an author on Goodreads.com! It would be so cool asking you one one questions!!!!
I hope you had a blast that night. Thanks for sharing good times.
Okay, either Dashner is deathly sick or is dead. Because the last we heard from him was his twitter. He hasn't replied to emails or blogged. Somethings wrong...
Who votes,
Dead, or sick?
-Jackson
Congrats on the awards, etc.
Amazon is lame. I still haven't received the book that I pre-ordered 2 months ago.
I vote deadly sick, Jackson. He hasn't replied to my email either!
James is on tour, Jackson. Remember?
Hey there! It was fun seeing you last week... I've read your new book since then and I really liked it! Crazy cliffhanger ending, though... still, awesome! Can't wait for more awesome James Dashner books!! :D

Wondering if you would be interested in presenting at a student writing conference with 9 other authors put on for secondary students in Tri-Cities, WA. If you would be at all interested in joining us March 9, 2011 (or any other year), please check out our website at: www.cavalcadeofauthors.org

Just finished your book late last night - it was so worth the exhaustion I feel from a short night sleep :) Can't wait for the Scorch Trials!
Hope we hear from you,
Michelle
You know Dashner, you're kind of being shunned from your own Duders. Because, no excuse, okay, I'm no one to judge your life, you haven't answered emails or blogged in the last week and three days.
So, I advise you to do SOMETHING, before you're shunned by the world.
Until next time,
-Jackson
Puh-lease write another blog post! And please answer your emails too! I reeeeaaaalllllyyy want you to reply. I can't wait to see you on the 27th. You can count on me being there.

(I'm serious! I know that Jackson is worried about you to! :))
When will it be available on the KINDLE?
As I'm abroad it's the only way I can read english books. Please please release it on the KINDLE soon.
Also, please please do plan to release The Scorch Trials on the KINDLE as well. THANKS!
