Since it's coming right up on us, I figured I better get my tour dates and details out there for everyone to see. But first, a couple of interesting things you can go read:
1. I did an article for the Guide to Literary Agents website, called "7 Things I've Learned So Far." If you're an aspiring writer, you might want to take a look. CLICK HERE.
2. I can't really say much more, but the end of this article in VARIETY magazine gives a glimpse into where we are with film rights to THE MAZE RUNNER. CLICK HERE. More as I can share it...
Now, onto tour details for the release of Book 3 in THE 13TH REALITY: THE BLADE OF SHATTERED HOPE.
The official launch party will be held at the Barnes & Noble in West Jordan, UT (Jordan Landing Shopping Center) on Friday, April 9th, at 6:30 pm. Angie Wager, the CRM there, has been supporting me since before pretty much anyone else. We're going to make this a lot of fun with giveaways, good food, a reading, etc. Please, if you live anywhere close, try to make it!!!
I'm also happy to announce that Simon & Schuster is sending me and Brandon Mull (FABLEHAVEN) on a little jaunt to Houston (May 10) and Austin (May 11) Texas, where we'll be presenting and signing together. Details coming.

Ha ha, I'm first to comment this time! ^_^
I liked the "7 Things" article. Really cool. And the film rights to Maze Runner?! Is this an April Fool joke or are you serious?
Ooh, movies out of Wicked and Stargirl too? That's awesome.
As always, I wish that you would tour Florida. I'd probably be the first person in line. ^_^
I can't wait for Blade of Shattered Hope to come out! I'll be looking for it in the store soon.
Only ONE DFW date? What happened to April 13th? I may make my daughter skip YM/YW on the 14th and come to Hurst with me.
I'll forward the post to our local SF/F writers group.
YESSSSSSSS. Your two events in AZ are right by where I live now. I moved to Gilbert/Mesa in December to be closer to school. Woot, woot.

See you on the 9th, soo sorry I still havent got the email too you....I'll bring you a copy of my schedule and show you something, hehe then too....TIKI TIKI
Oh, when I first read this I thought you and Brandon would be SINGing together.
That would be weird.
Thanks for the super seven tips! Your writing journey is in high speed now! Thanks for sharing your talent and process with the world.
Oh thank goodness, you're coming to Houston!
*happy dance*
I've been telling my sisters to read the Maze Runner, so I'm ordering them to your book signing in Mesa to pick it up.
A movie! That's awesome. I'm sure you will want to write the screenplay.
But if you are too busy just let me know and I will make myself available. :)
At first glance I thought it said you would be SINGING with Brandon Mull. I would pay to see that. Lol.
You rock, foo! :D
I agree with Taylor, I'm always open too. And holy cow, The Maze Runner Movie, I sent you an email a couple of weeks a go about that! I would LOVE to help pick out characters. I mean I think I know what they look like, and I know what acting skills look like, trust me. :) Anyway I would die to be part of the future best movie ever!! Please let me! I'll even send in a reseme' or a video presentation. Seriously, I'll do anything I need to! :) I'll send you another email, please reply to it!
I'll be in Moab next weekend, but I'll bring my copy of Blade to Storymakers. Keep 'em coming, dude.
Yes, I will most likely be at the release party. Can't wait to see you...Again!!! I'm so excited for it that I'm putting off my Script Frenzy and my book of sorts so I can dedicate all of Tuesday to read 13th Reality. Can't wait. Oh finally you announce it, I've been waiting since LTUE for you to announce that you sold the rights on your blog. Anyway, until later Dashner.

I am so excited for the 9th, I can't wait to read the book!
Im coming to see you April 27, I am SOOOO excited to finally meet you. I constantly recomend your books to people. I haven't met one person who has read your books and dislkies them.
SQUEEEEELLLL!!! Did I shatter your windows? Good; it shows how excited I am. If you remember, I live in the Jordan Landing area so I will try to make it to the launch party. I'm SOOOOOO excited. And the movie! You are seriously going to make me have a heart failure! Thumbs up!
Saw your book at the Fort Union DB tonight. I'm still waiting for my copy I ordered from Amazon! Dang it!
HAppy Easter!!!!!!
Happy Easter James and his duders. Hope you all have a great day.
-Jackson
May 1st? I'll be waiting! ^.^
Happy Late Easter Everyone!
I have hope that you will be at Storymakers this month, but I may try to get to the Jordan Landing one :)
Just got the book, haven't started yet though. Will you be signing at the release party?
-Jackson
P.S. I had to go to two stores to find the 13th Reality 3, you're lucky I'm such a dedicated duder/reader.
Hey Dashner, I was wondering if, after the release party, I could interview you and ask you some questions for my blog. It could get some more followers in and I could make it very interesting. But if you don't have the time it's okay.

Hi, I'm Kathryn Roberts (LDS author, hopefully to be published soon/someday). After reading several revising help books, I followed the suggestion of buying a book(s) to study, also much like you do going to movies, etc. and when I went to Barnes and Noble I didn't know which book to buy. I had heard about your book on kidlit.com or some other such agent blog, so I decided on yours (also because you write in a style similar to mine). Anyway, I thought it would be helpful. Much to my joy and surprise, I found out you are a member and I was happy to see another 'kindred spirit' out there finding so much success.
Your writing is great, your storytelling superb! Maze Runner is like a YA version of lost in my opinion. It keeps you jumping, and is intense from the getgo. I will definitely refer people to it. And I hope that when I move back to Utah I will get a chance to go to one of your signings.
Also, loved the "7 things" article. They are things I am trying to perfect at the moment. (you can get a hint of what I do on my blog : http://kathrynpackerroberts.blogspot.com/
Thanks for the inspiration!
Kathryn Roberts
I am so there at the release party! I can't wait for more of Tick and his friends. This is out just in time for my birthday too:)
James! I LOVED The Maze Runner! When will you come to Canada??
Any plans to tour Canada? There are lots of fans in our little town north of Toronto.
I'm jealous you get to tour with Brandon Mull. I'm crazy over Fablehaven! Tell him I said, HI!
James, I'd love to interview you over at The Sweet Bookshelf. I'm based in the UK, and would love to help promote The Maze Runner for its UK debut in Aug! Let me know!
mary@thesweetbookshelf.com
Great interview over at GLA. And I've seen The 13th Reality on display at Deseret Book but have never had a chance to pick one up. Looks like I have something new to check out at the library.
Also, I'm organizing an LDS writer-blogger extravaganza - not the official name, by the way:) - and wondered if you might be interested in participating. Feel free to contact me at kvandolzer@gmail.com for more details.
Recently got halfway through 13th Reality 3. Can't express how much a deeply love it. But, when that certain person see's that certain H _ _ _ _ _, was that symbolic in anyway to David's brother in the Book of Mormon, when he saw everyone's face that would ever exist? Just wondering.
-Jackson
Can't wait to see you guys in Austin!
Hey,
I want to come see you in Houston tomorrow, but need details! Where are you signing at? We can't come see you if we don't know where you will be!
